Terms of Use

Last updated September 2026 · version 2026-09

These terms are the agreement between you and CopyBook. They are written to be read, not to be survived, and they say what you are getting, what you are not, and what happens if either of us wants to stop.

CopyBook is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by the Ministry of Education, and nothing in it is an official examination paper. It prepares a child for an exam; it is not the exam, and it does not speak for the people who set it.

Who the agreement is with

The account holder is an adult — a parent or guardian — who creates the household and accepts these terms. Children use CopyBook under that adult's account and supervision. A child cannot create a household, and cannot agree to anything here.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must have the right to make decisions about the children whose work you put into the app.

The household, and the PIN

One household holds one adult's sign-in and the profiles of the children in it. The PIN exists so a child can use the app without reaching the parts meant for a parent. It is a gate between a child and a settings screen, not a security control: anyone who knows your password can reach everything, so keep the password to yourself and choose a PIN your child will not guess by accident.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has your password, change it from Settings.

What CopyBook writes, and what that is worth

Questions, notes, worksheets and marking are produced by software, including artificial intelligence, working from the primary school curriculum. Most of it is good. Some of it will be wrong.

Check the work with your child rather than treating it as settled. If you find a bad question, report it from the app — that is the fastest route to having it removed, and it is how the bank gets better.

No promise about results. CopyBook does not guarantee that a child will pass, place at any school, or improve by any amount. No study aid can, and one that says otherwise is selling you something else.

Your family's work stays yours

Photographs of your child's pages and the writing they submit belong to your family. You give CopyBook permission to store and process that work so it can be marked and returned to you, and for no other purpose. It is not used to advertise anything, is not sold, and is not used to train anybody's model — the privacy policy sets out exactly who it reaches and for how long it is kept.

The questions and material CopyBook generates remain ours. Print them, photocopy them, and work through them with your own children as much as you like. Do not resell them or redistribute them as your own.

Using it fairly

If an account is used this way we may suspend it. Where it is a misunderstanding we will say so first.

Availability

CopyBook is offered as it is. It runs on one server and depends on services we do not control, so it will sometimes be slow, and occasionally it will be down. Work already downloaded to a phone stays readable when the network does not. We may change or remove features, and the app updates itself so a phone is not left on an old version.

Stopping

You may stop at any time. Deleting your household from Settings removes the account and the work in it — see deleting your account, which also works if you have already uninstalled the app. Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it, so export anything you want to keep first.

We may end an account that is being used against these terms, or if we stop offering CopyBook altogether. If we shut the service down we will give notice in the app and leave time to export.

Where we stand if something goes wrong

Nothing here removes rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be removed by agreement, and nothing here limits our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Beyond that: CopyBook is a study aid supplied without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for exam results, school placements, lost work, or any indirect loss arising from using it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of Trinidad and Tobago, and the courts of Trinidad and Tobago have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We will change these terms from time to time. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change materially affects what you get or what we do with your family's work, we will say so in the app rather than leaving you to notice.
